Laser hair removal machine makers have started to bring their state of the art equipment to the trade shows and seminars for 2011, said the companies this week.
Lumenis, a Santa Clara, California-based medical and aesthetic laser and light-based technology provider, just showed their new models of LightSheer DUET laser hair removal machines at the 69th Annual American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Meeting held this week in New Orleans. Dore Gilbert, MD, FAAD says in the meeting that LightSheer DUET is a high-speed and comfortable system for permanent hair removal. Another expert Shlomit Halachmi, MD, PhD says that the product provides a “faster and smarter” solution for laser hair removal.
Competition for Best Hair Removal Systems: Alexandrite, Diode, Nd YAG, IPL and Ruby Laser
Lumenis’ LightSheer DUET machines have gained a large number of fans in the hair removal market. But some users say diode laser, the technology the LightSheer DUET machines use, is not the best hair removal solution in the industry. According to Daniel P. Markmann, MD, diode laser can not penetrate deep enough to kill all kinds of hair follicles and the hair may grow back again in some cases.
Mr. Markmann said that alexandrite and Nd YAG could be better light hair permanent removal technologies for some people – alexandrite laser is best for people with fair skin and Nd YAG laser better for darker skin. But according to Laser Hair Removal Review, diode laser could be best for people who have light to medium skin colors.
Other light hair permanent removal solutions include IPL and Ruby laser. But most of the reviews say that these two solutions are not as effective as Alexandrite, Diode and Nd YAG.
Top Laser Hair Removal Machines Manufacturers Fight for 2011 Market
Many other producers will promote their new products for 2011 too. For example, Cutera, a San Francisco, California-based laser and light medical devices manufacturers, may show their Nd: YAG laser hair removal machines in an expo in Tennessee early next month; Mehl Biophile has started to promote their Chromos 694 ruby laser light hair removal devices for the 2011 market; Hoya ConBio produces Medlite TM Q-Switched Nd YAG laser machines; CoolTouch makes Varia Nd YAG hair removal equipment; and Nidek will try to sell more of their EpiStar diode laser machines in 2011.
Many other companies will provide better and more cost-effective products for the market too. Consumers could benefit from the competition this year.
