Light therapy is a natural or seminatural way to cure acne and remove acne scars. Isolaz and Lumie Clear offer two solutions for acne and scars removal.

Acne is a widespread skin complaint found in up to 80 percent of adolescents. It is mostly caused by stickiness in the sebaceous glands. The secretions from the gland become very sticky which leads to the plugging of hair follicles. At the same time, changes in growth around the skin lead to an overgrowth of bacteria that live in oil secreted by the glands. This results in spots or pimples and inflammation, which can lead to scarring.

Common acne vulgaris treatments include creams or antibiotics such as topical retinoids, topical antimicrobials, oral antibiotics and isotretinoin. But creams are often regarded as inconvenient, while over-reliance on antibiotics can increase bacterial resistance, lessening the medicine's effect. Fortunately there are several kinds of natural therapies available for acne removal, including light therapy than can cure acne and get rid of acne scars.

Facts of Light Therapy for Acne Vulgaris Removal

Several researchers have found that the red and blue light of certain frequencies have good effects on acne treatment and scar removal by attacking bacteria and repairing skin. For example, a study at Hammersmith Hospital in London showed that the red and blue light combination improved acne sufferer’s skin by more than 75 percent within a few weeks.

The side effects of light therapy, or photodynamic therapy, may include redness or peeling similar to sunburn. It was generally mild and resolved quickly.
